Project: Brand identity & collateral for new salon opening
Brief:
Develop a distinctive brand identity for the new Laura Jayne Salons, reflecting its positioning as a premium, community-focussed hair salon in Hill Ridware. The identity needed to work across print and digital, ensure consistency in launch materials, and create strong brand recognition in the local area.
Approach:
I designed a bespoke logo and word-mark that balanced elegance with approachability. The colour palette was refined to evoke a premium but welcoming feel – complementary tones and accent colours were selected for versatility across social media. I then created a suite of launch materials including signage, business cards, loyalty cards, a styled price-list. I ensured all design elements (typography, iconography, layout grids) were aligned so the brand could scale smoothly as the salon grew.
Outcome:
The new branding gave Laura Jayne Salons a consistent and professional visual presence from opening day. The collateral roll-out supported the launch of the salon, helped to establish its identity in the local community and provided a strong foundation for future marketing campaigns.
